Beliefs as of Now

 So, what is it that I believe? 

I believe in a God, kind of. But, the God-ish thing I believe in is not the God of the Bible at all. My understanding of what God is, at this point is more like the Force from Star Wars. 

An unknowable energy of the universe. That energy exists as consciousness and it is in everyone and everything that is alive and vibrations and frequencies in things that aren’t alive.  That is how God can be everywhere all the time. It’s how God is in us and we are together with God. Because we are all connected through the one BIG SINGULAR energy/consciousness that we each share a piece of and that energy is also God. Basically, I believe in a version of the holy spirit part of the God we learn in church with a little flair and that’s it. No sky daddy, watching and judging my every move, demanding acknowledgement and worship. The holy spirit that is with us all the time and can interact with at certain times. 

I have a very special bond with the God of the universe that I have come to know and it is not a man. God is not a sky daddy or a person at all. Not some white bearded guy on a throne somewhere. Nope. God is the essence of everything. It is mother earth. It is the awe and wonder of vastness of outer space and the tiniest particles that make up matter. It’s in how everything makes sense while nothing does and how order can be found everywhere you look. It is in all we can see and all we can’t. Near as I can tell, God IS energy and consciousness. The biggest form there is. And it’s been there all along. Everywhere at the same time. Always everywhere and never nowhere. You don’t need to study an old document written by dudes to experience Spirit. It is right there.
